LOSA MARKS 2026 LEAVERS DAY WITH INSPIRATIONAL INDUCTION AND RENEWED COMMITMENT TO EDUCATIONAL EXCELLENCE

The Labone Old Students Association (LOSA) has formally inducted over 1,200 final-year students of Labone Senior High School into its alumni family at a well-attended Leavers’ Day and Induction Service held on Sunday, 15th June 2026.

Speaking on behalf of the LOSA President, the Vice President, Mr Stephen Kotey extended heartfelt congratulations to the graduating cohort, describing the occasion as a significant milestone marking the end of one academic journey and the beginning of new pathways in tertiary education, entrepreneurship, and professional life.

He urged the students to remain disciplined, focused, and committed to excellence, emphasizing the importance of integrity, accountability, hard work, respect, and service as guiding principles for their future endeavors. He further reminded them that they remain ambassadors of Labone Senior High School wherever they go.

Highlighting LOSA’s continued support to the school, he noted key interventions including the awarding of prizes to outstanding students, organization of Career Day programmes, and the refurbishment of the school’s Science Laboratory and other facilities aimed at improving the teaching and learning environment. He described these initiatives as strategic investments in the future of students.

He further encouraged the graduating students to maintain their bond with the school and the Association, noting that they would soon be integrated into LOSA to contribute to its growth and development in the years ahead.

A key highlight of the ceremony was the formal induction of the final-year students into LOSA. The students took a solemn pledge to uphold the values of their school, pursue excellence, promote unity, and support the objectives of LOSA.

The Vice President, acting in his official capacity, declared the students duly inducted into the Association and warmly welcomed them into the LOSA family.

In a brief address, the School Prefect, Mr Victor John, expressed appreciation to all stakeholders, particularly LOSA, for their consistent contributions toward improving academic standards and infrastructure in the school. On behalf of his colleagues, he pledged that the graduating class would return in future to support LOSA’s initiatives and ongoing projects.

On behalf of the Headmistress, Mrs Vera Akpakli, Assistant Head (Domestic), officially presented the list of graduating students to LOSA. She commended the Association for its sustained role in supporting teaching and learning, as well as the refurbishment of key school facilities, and expressed optimism that the partnership between LOSA and the school would continue to grow stronger.

The event was graced by the Assistant Head (Domestic), PTA leadership, teachers, parents, and other distinguished guests, marking a memorable moment of reflection, celebration, and renewed commitment to educational excellence at Labone Senior High School.
